Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my fork's.
What all do I need to know before buying a new set ? Size of steer tube ? I'm new to the world of downhill mountain biking. Any input is much appreciated!

I could be wrong but that frame will likely have a head tube that only supports a 1 1/8" steerer tube top and bottom.
Most new forks have a tapered steerer tube with 1.5" at the bottom end and 1 1/8" at the top end.

You will need to check if a headset bottom cup is available to fit the newer fork on the old frame. I don't know enough about headsets or your frame to answer that one with any degree of certainty but I hope this info will point you in the right direction.

They have a 1.5" headtube, so with the right headset you can fit just about any steerer.

The original forks are 170mm, there are lots of options 170mm to 180mm out there. If on a budget I'd get some second hand RS Totem coils, as they are great forks.
