Good to know! I think if I could do it all over again I would have gotten the Vivid air (mainly because you can rebuild it yourself.)

We had them painted by a professional painter we use (Elbert's Uber Lack Paint Shop). They have painted a number of bikes and components for us here at The Garage. Spokes are DT Swiss Champions which were painted then cut/threaded to length, then the we laced up the wheel. glad you like them

Hey guys & Gals...

I came across this thread in hopes of finding some of your personal experiences with the ASR 7. I am heavily considering picking up a 2010 frame and building it up for a big travel all mountain rig. I know this is a tall bike and kind of long too. Has anyone found this to be too much? I am not going to be hucking this monster whipper style I just wanted to build a fast chunder choker...

I am 6'-0" and looking at a Large. I am a little long in the leg though at 32 -33"++ in-seamish.

I would like to run it with a totem 160-180 that I have which seems to suit it. one of the questions I have to consider is the rear shock and the peddle-ability. As in DHX coil vrs RP23 or possibly a Vivid Air (which i would like) By photo comparison it looks like the 2010 has a slightly steeper seat angle than the 11's and 12's???

Any feed back positive or negative regarding these bad boys would be greatly appreciated as all I have to go off of is a frame and a couple of reviews on MTB...sites. Cheers ~ SM
