Yea I cant stand to have something on my bike that breaks often. So, I think save a bit more and Fox 831 it is. I really appreciate the help!
For what its worth, ive had 4 36 831 forks. I broke one of them by stripping out the thread and that was my fault. All of them have worked flawless.

I recently bought the 2020 RockShox Pike DJ and have yet to have any issues with them. I was between the Pikes and Fox 36 831s and decided to save $200 and go with the Pikes. No regrets

Where'd you pick up the 2020? I've only found 2019's online.

It better ride so so much better than al the other forks considering the retail price of a 831!

Think the retail price of an 831 is a joke tbh.

buy a pike DJ and then use the rest of the money to go on holiday

I would personally recommend a circus pro over a Pike dj. I've never even seen one but I've owned two circus experts, three DJ1s, two argyle RCTs, a Pike Dj and numerous other fox and Manitous, and honestly on paper and by durability reputation the circus pro is heavily slept on.
