is that yeti world champs bike carbon?
I don't think so...
Mit is just a guy who had his yeti dj frame painted in the team colors

Oh ok, rear stays and dropout area looked a bit like a carbon frame

Carbon would be nice though...

I am close enough with a handful of industry people and my yeti reps would have leaked if there was even a carbon prototype dj running around..

Go get a cowan if you're hurting that much for carbo DJ. Overrated af in my opinion. Steel is real etc.

I have carbon wheels and bar on my bike.. That's enough for me..

Except I am considering that my XX1 or NextSL cranks should go on my DJ...

I looked at getting a Cowan........then started doing more research about them.......fixed seatpost height was the killer for me......I like my seat slammed when racing and raised a bit when playing about on DJ's or at the skatepark.Jackal for the win on that one!

It seems at a good mid height. Low enough to park, high enough to thigh brace.

I honestly never move my seat, stays just bellow my knees and I feel all awkward and gangly with it too low

Thinking of building a Yeti 4x as a "mini DH" shreader. Would a 180mm fork be over kill?

All comments welcome.

Would snap the head tube off

What would be the max travel, remembering the 4x has rear sus too...?

I know a couple of people who have ran it with 140 and had no issues but I wouldn't want to go any higher. I've seen people run the meta 4X with 169 upfront so could consider that?

I have ridden mine from 90mm up to 150mm.. I am happy with it at 120mm. The bike is already Slack, 150 made it too Slack for me.. But I actually ride big proper dirtjumps on it, so I can't go too Slack on it.

Edit... You were talking 4x.. I was talking about dj.. You will snap a Headtube off at 180 on the 4x.
