Hi all,

I own a Trek Scratch 2011 and the Seat Tube seems to be quite stiff. The previous Owner had not used the bike in a long time and I can remove the Seat Post but it does take some effort to do so.
I have cleaned the Seat Post and Tube, added a little lubricant to the post and it hasn't helped that much.

The frame is rated for a 31.6mm post and that is what is being used at present.

Just wack a load of grease in there, slide it up and down a few times, should be reet.

I'll give that a go. I was just using GT85 to lube the Seat Post. Grease would be a better bet!

HAHA! WD40 for sure.

GT85 isn't too bad though. My old bike stand had seized in different areas, bit of GT85 sorted it out.
