Snow in my driveway here in westbank and they're calling for rain. Assuming the snow does melt its gonna be a mud fest...

Hello!

Going to be in Kelowna with a few hours to kill Saturday. I know its warmed up a bit but is Smith Creek ridable? Anything?

Thanks for any info!

Everything is snow covered, I rode Knox on Sunday and there was lots of grip still (rocky sections were a little slippery). I am hoping to sneak a lunch ride in tomorrow (possibly smith creek) and will try to report back.
Thanks!

Conditions at Smith Creek yesterday were awesome Smile 2-4cm of snow, only one fat biker up before us.
Traction was surprisingly good.

Saw your trailforks report.

Were you riding a Fat or normal? What did you come down?

If any of you guys are touring around Kelowna keep your eyes peeled for a crack head riding a 2006 Specialized Hardrock Sport. Pretty much all black with white and silver decaling, silver RST fork, FSA cranks with silver/black 50/50 pedals, 1-10 XT drive train, Easton bars with a Husfeller stem and pull brakes. Just built it up for my niece to ride to work (she just moved to Kelowna a month ago) had the bike less than a week and it got jacked...thanks

We rode Feel the Love -> more cow bell -> Feel the Love -> FOMO.
FOMO was so good we rode back up and did a second lap.

West Kelowna Trail Crew Soceity AGM is next Tuesday night at Mar Jok Elementary at 6:00pm. If you guys want to voice your option on West Kelowna trails this is a great opportunity. Hope to see you there.

I see there’s a housing project going on at the bottom there how’s that going to effect the trails

Thanks for the info.

Going to give it a whirl tomorrow. Hopefully it wasn’t too warm today and turned it into a mud bog.

Looks like it's gonna cut off Huck to flat but not much beyond that. (Heard through the grapevine, might not be accurate) I'd personally imagine more hikers as people move in? Who knows.
