how much money have you spent??

1200=santa cruz jackal
1000= kona shred(stolen/replaced by jackal)
1000= specialized big hit(selling it)
1400= devinci wilson frame with fox 40's(needs to be built up)

in total id say $4600 CAD but including repairs, about $5250 and thats only over like 2.5 years and somehow i dont think spending $ on my bikes is gonna stopCry

i reckon ive spent about £6555 on bikes:

£900 on 2006 Norco manik -
£200 on upgrades to norco manik.

£1500 on a norco shore 1 (got it reduced by £1000 from £2500!!!)
£600 on upgrades to norco shore 1

£550 on demo 8 frame
£60 on new rear wheel
£300 on new forks
£50 on new stem
£15 on new grips
£30 on new saddle
£50 on new pedals

just bought a second hand commencal mini dh:
£650

bmx:
£200
new tyre for bmx: £10

then add in all the kit ive bought:
gloves - £20
body armour - £60
shin armour - £60
2 helmets £100
shoes - £40
jerseys/shorts £60

plus around £1000 on a holiday

i did sell/or am in the process of selling all the previous bikes, got £450 for the manik, £700 for the shore and am looking at getting £550 for the demo frame.

so its £6555-£1700 so around £4760 give or take a bit.

doesnt include disposables - i.e. brake pads, rotors etc.
all over the course of 3 good years of riding. and whats more, i dont care cos i enjoy it so much!!! and i know ive worked really hard to have had some awesome bikes.

yeah, i do agree, but concider that if my scrap hadent been stolen ide take a grand of the price tag, and im selling the big hit so that should take another grand off the price tag so it goes from like 5250 down to 3000, and once my devinci is built up, i dont plan to replace any bikes or get new ones for a long time

well i think i have done quite well since jan 2008 i have spent about £1700 but thats on 2X bmx 1x trial/jump and 1xjump bike and 1x XC bike. I am very carefull with my money.. or you could just call it tight..lol

sold parts from XC bike so more like £1500

some of us havent been around 20 years, let alone been riding for that long... Frown i think it would have been great to watch how improvements were made to the sport over those 20 years.

All the stuff on this list got stolen and I had to replace my V-10 and my hardtail. I bought a new V-10 and a Yeti 4x so that adds on another $12000
