what cap do you loosen though because the 2318 has the air side and the compression side, and my 302 just has 2 black caps

318 is coil and compression/rebound only as far as I'm aware?
Regardless: With all Argyles the spring assembly (the big you need for lowering) is on the left (as you would see it whilst sat on your bike) and the rebound and compression crap is in the right leg.

So i need to take the left cap off,and put the spacers on the damping leg, okay thanks, btw where can you buy them 10mm or 20mm spacers from ?

hardware store, once youve lowered them its super hard to get the top cap back on so be carefull not to shred the threads trying

You take off the left top cap, unscrew the bolt at the bottom of that leg (giving it a knock with a mallet whilst it's still screwed into the leg to unseat it), pull out the rod from the top and slide the spacers onto it.
