What whould one be able to go with 27,5 on the Fuel? And how does that ride?

Funny thing, i hated the colorways for the -21 fex at first but that red faded on has become one of my favorites!

I think he’s just asking if anyone has put 27.5s on a fuel. I had a 27.5+ and a 29 wheelset for my last one and liked the 29 the best. Not sure on 27.5 regular. I know some pros run Fuels mullet style

My fuel has 2.4/2.5 maxis/continental tires on and is 27.5. I have no interest in 29ers. You don’t have to run plus size tires on the 27.5 fuel. In fact I wonder why you would at all to be honest.

Yeah honestly I didn’t mind the 27.5+ but I wouldn’t buy it again. 29s were my favorite for the riding I do the most. I didn’t like the 29x2.6 my bike came with though and went down to a 2.4

It’s not built around 29. Up until this year you could get the fuel as a 27.5 or a 29er.

It is a shame. I agree!

This is flat out wrong. It's built around 29", you were able to get it in 27.5+, because the + size tires bring the BB back up to the 29er dimensions. 27.5" runs the BB very low for the type of riding the bike is meant for

I have a 2015 Fuel Ex which I am trying to do some updates. I want to convert it to a 1x12. Already ordered a sunrace 11-50t 12spd cassette now next on the list is Sram GX derailleur, shifter. What i am stuck on is the front chain ring. Currently it has a 2 ring Sram GXP crank which i would like to remove the two rings and replace them with one 32t ring. Will that work okay or do I need anything else?
I was also thinking of changing the crank set completely to Sram GX with 32t ring but I am not sure about the boosted vs non boosted. Which one would I need on a 1x12 conversion?

um how so? The bike was a 27.5 before it was a 29er. I had zero issues with my 19 FEX in 27.5 with regular 2.4/2.5 tires, 170/147. XC, lift assisted bike parks. Did it all. And I ran it in low mino link. HTA measured on the iPhone 65.2.

I'm not saying there is something wrong with your bike, I'm saying your claim that the bike isn't designed around 29ers is wrong. The bike has changed A LOT since it was designed to accommodate 27.5. Mathematically 27.5+ and 29 are the same in this context, 27.5 is not.

You changed basically everything on the bike geometry wise to get your setup to work, which is great, but not that the original question was. AND -- you use yours for strictly park duty, rather than the intended trail riding, so yours isn't a great example of what you should/shouldn't do anyway.

As a side note, cause I think it every time you post this bike again, why didn't you just buy a Remedy?
