Great bike that I love but last week I lent it up against some steps and it fell over! I was rather pi$$ed at myself for being careless and getting some scratches in the lovely paint but then was devastated to see a small puncture hole in the stay.
No weight on the bike and just plain unlucky in what its hit but I was more than surprised when my shop said Rocky would not warranty the part! I'm honestly stunned a fall has resulted in the carbon failing like it has! Has anyone else had an issues with Rocky carbon?
I've taken multiple fairly hard spills on my altitude 750msl with no issues. Mind you the stays are aluminum but still. Maybe it was a previous incident and you just noticed it now? Or maybe it was just an absolute fluke. I think Rocky carbon is known to be pretty solid. A puncture hole definitely would not be seen as a manufacturer defect so it would not be warrantied. Maybe you can ask your lbs if Rocky would be able to sell you a replacement stay, which will be way cheaper than having to buy a new frame

Thanks for the reply. Think it was just one of them fluke - but very annoying - things! I've got the stay replaced at cost through MoreBikes (who I cant praise enough, love the guys there!) so I'm happy to be back out on the bike
