I have a manitou nixon and it is stiff as hell and has almost no small bump absorption, but it does suck up the big hits.

P.S. does anyone know how to make this fork softer? i only weigh 115 lb's and it's way to stiff for me

Manitou Nixon platinum it. I didnt want the it at first because it looks hoakey and was one more cable to run to my handle bars, but after setting it up and riding with it I cant believe more companies dont copy it. Talk about slick Sh*T. Pretty light fork, smooth, good looking and I only paid 72 bucks for it. Plan on running the it cable up the steer tube bmx style soon.

Magnum R- 6/10 (was a decent cheap trail fork back in the day)
SX- 6/10 (worked good as a light simple cheap dirt jump fork)
Sherman Slider Plus- 7/10
Nixon Super- 7/10
Nixon platinum- 8/10

For comparison of how I would rate other forks ive owned

DJ III- 3/10 (All I can say about the fork was It didnt break)
Boxxer- 5/10 (rode like a pogo stick)
888- 6/10 (smooth but I just didnt like the ride, kinda high)
Domain- 6/10 (I bought it used, may have contributed to its poor ride. very heavy)

its a little bit like a stance. look for the stance instruction. the splice is a easy to service fork.

I would venture to say the current Circus pinch bolts and anchors will work in their place. Don't quote me on that, but you can call Manitou. Or order them and return them if they don't work.
