This is on a brand new Transition Scout - which feels really good by the way!
Anyway, first "Shakedown" ride- heading down a twisty, sort of fast but non tech descent
I went to use a little rear brake near a corner and the rear level just LOCKED.
The brake was/is not on - but would not allow me to pull the lever in at all.
I had to "limp" home with just a front brake.

All I did setup wise was use the reach adjust dials for my levers. The front lever and brake works just fine.
I have never experienced this before with any brake, and it's kind of unnerving.

I bought my bike at a very good bike shop - I emailed the owner after hours and he responded already and says he knows what it is and will take care of the problem.

anyone experienced anything like this - and if so, what was the outcome?

The issue was in a a fairly non-heavy riding situation, but it still made me "auger" a bit and maybe almost crash.

Add:
Shop took care of it. Said it was a fitting inside there, that if not aligned properly, that could happen. They have not seen that before with the Guide R brakes, and that it shouldn't happen again.
So I'll trust them and will be time to shred on my new bike!

I'll need to be assured that these brakes are reliable and safe!
