WRXJim, how did you like the angleset? Any drawbacks? I have a 2014 Trance Advanced SX with a 2015 Fox 34 Factory Talas 160-140 and I am thinking of buying a 1 degree angleset. The trails here are steep and gnarly and I'm looking to gain confidence without ruining the climbing ability.
Don’t have a trance, but looking at the geometry, do it. It’s going to benefit you in all ways defending (lower bb, longer wheelbase, slacker head angle), and while climbs may be a little harder due to the longer bike, it is still shorter and easier to climb than some of the new super long and slack bikes. I would even recommend going 1.5 or maybe 2 degrees slacker.
