new builder, neighbor and I have a few acres of single track mtb trails through our woods (1/2-3/4mile loops with additional crossovers/variations). We have a few rock face drop offs, but seeing as the trail is entirely in the rolling woods there are not many "flat" places to add features. Has anyone had success adding the DJ kind stuff to a single track? where are the best places to add stuff? I have done the skinny/wooden feature thing, just need some air!

A method I have used for building freeride trails, which could apply to singletrack, is look for spots you seem to be traveling with decent speed and there is already a natural landing built. For example the backside of a hill. Then all you have to do is build a small lip slightly before the downslope. The further and bigger the lip from the downslope, the bigger the jump and more airtime. Saves tons of time not having to build a Landing as well as takeoff, so use the shape of the land to your advantage.
