There is a pile of those amp research ones in the shop I work at (head mechanic used to race them, said they needed to be rebuilt every week) like this:

Had one of these come in the bike shop the other month! Disgusting heavy thing.

surely dive would be more of a problem on performance bikes (MX and GP)?

Girvin forks were anti dive i think.
