hi everybody, im having doubts about my LBS diagnosis so I hope someone can help me

At one point the compression adjuster of my Pike (RC 27,5 2014)
stopped working, took it for service and the LBS mechanic told me that it was a shimstack issue, they are bent and not working properly.
Is this the real problem? is this a common issue after 2 years? i ride once or twice a week usually.
Can I replace just replace the shims? Looks like the service kit available doesn't include the washers.
I don't want to get too technical with a custom set up, just need the factory setting back

Hi there.

Its not a common issue. To resolve the issue in haste, order the whole RC damper internal assembly from your nearest lbs or RS service centre. RS spare parts usually come as assembly rather than separate pieces. Since its a shim stack that is bent, one might need to inspect the damper assembly for any damage; even a scratch can affect the whole damper.

Do you have any pics of the affected part?
