There is a DJ park in Merrit with some huge looking hits. Havent ridden them, just drove by.

Don't forget Bear mtn and Vedder Mtn in the fraser valley.

Fernie has some great epic trails, the ski hill unfortunately has become a bit run down in the last two seasons, used to be pretty cool, now just so-so. If you don't mind riding up there are great rides to be had though, all easily accessible from town by bike, many start right at the campsite. It can be incorporated into a road trip loop including places like Golden, Invermere/Panorama, Nelson, Rossland/Trail etc. Can't go wrong with any of them, all cool, all different. Have fun!

I quickly browsed the thread and can't recall if it was mentioned but Vedder Mountain in Chilliwack is absolutely phenomenal. The guys at Jack's cycle will either know people who are going and can hook you up or at least provide you with a map.

On Vancouver Island most of it was mentioned but Dumont in Nanaimo is a blast, Cumberland is a gem that people are really starting to become aware of. Again the fellas in the bike store there are cool and will hook you up. I live in Parksville and can attest to Hammerfest being fun.

Finally, Sechelt. Unfreakingbelievable the local map has km markers on it and unlike most are bang on. I saw someone say earlier in the thread the local high school outdoor club maintains them. First time I heard that but makes sense cuz they are cooool.

Enjoy

This list is from a road trip from the previous summer. Stops are as follows:
Williams lake, unreal single track (but pretty far from the 49th parallel)
Kamploops, big hits at the ranch and wicked trails in the foothills
Vernon, mainly silverstar (catching up to whistler in big ways)
and finally a must, if not for the riding, then for the town; Nelson.
Check out the Ymir NWD site, local trails, and some of the longest single track around (baldface lodge) think garbo DH on steroids.

Hope it helps.

Also I use to ride the island and unfortunate these places topped most riding spots on van isle.
