What front mech do i need for my trek remedy 9 2012?

I recenty bought a trek remedy 9 from a pinkbike seller i think its a 2012 its and is an ali frame.I have been loving riding and serviceing it.Its running a 2x10 deore xt set up through out.The front mech however is a 9 speed mech and im having problems tuning it.It is not a direct mount.I want to get the correct mech or work out how to tune it properly.Also just to add(in case it makes a difference)the two chain rings are black spire and a hope bash guard/ring on a xt crank.All suggestions are welcome, as you may of already gathered im relatively new to the world of full sus mountain biking so youl have to bear with me.Big thanks,Chris
