You are right ... due to the lack of space on the fork, I have very wide rims and 2.3 DHR2 tires, I now use a different protection ... at least for the eyes and for the down tube works perfect ...

Maybe a 26" fork with 27.5" inch wheel?

I'm a fan of Rock Guardz fenders. They seem to work better than the Marshguards and Mudhugger, at least for me.

My mistake, on the front I had a 2.5 WT DHF on 35mm ID, last winter. The fork is a 27.5 Pike. On the rear I had a 2.3 DHR2 tyre, exactly on the limit with all the mud and everything I picked up from the trail... first I tried a vertical mud guard, mounted on the fork, which didn't work, then finally I found this solution with the downtube mounted mud guard, which work pretty decent ...
