Sterling, you've outdone yourself.

That bike is amazing.

Ha! I gotta give chromag some credit Wink i was a bit worried about airtime on it. I moved from a very playful M/L frame to the newer longer even Large geo.... hit some pretty good floaters yesterday.no more worries. Its just a destructive machine that eats it all up. And the DH portion is even better. I got way out of control twice through one root strewn line and just relaxed and trusted Master Splinter... he guided me well though such a challenge.... did go OTB towards the end of that trail but it was a dead soldier log the front wheel hit so we’ll have to work on the mind over matter stuff together a bit more..... being the disciple of a Mutant Rat Sensei isn’t easy.... and will likely take years of patience and commitment... but together we might just make a good pair.

This would be a good solution for you son, you can weld extension tubes and chainstays as he 's growing up...

my third steel hardtail. not exactly all mountain, more xc cruiser and around towner:
inbred 29er klunker.

870mm handlebar, coaster brake, hub dyno lights and a bb7 up front.

Nice, and a proper klunker with the rear coaster brake.

Me too. Does not seem that ratty to me, though.
It's just a set of brakes away from being pretty fancy.
