Hey guys. Just grabbed a 2013 Rockey mountain instinct frame to complement my steel(karate monkey) hard tail. I have not kept up with MTB tech as I should, just figuring out the new BB systems was a thing. It seems that my xtr 9 speed set up isn't working, can't get it to adjust properly. Am I gonna have to bite the bullet and go with a 10 or 11 speed set up? Or am i missing something? Thanks! Looking forward to ripping this beast!

You should have no isssues getting your 9 speed stuff to ork on that frame. You will need a 9 speed shifter & derailleur built by the same manufacturer. You will also need a 9 speed chain & cassette. What issues are you having? What parts are on your set up.
Hey in using 9 speed cassette with an xtr derailleur and Saint shifter. Hanger is straight. I can't get the tallest gear. The pulley cage on the derailleur is hitting the cassette no matter where the b tension screw and adjust screws are set.....
the mech may simply not have the range for the cassette you are using.
If you must use that mech, the wolftooth industries 'road link' may help.... otherwise, you could just buy a new clutch rear mech, either would likely solve the problem.
