Hi am am building a DJ bike with an Atomlab Trailking frame and wondering what bar and stem combo I should use. Note that I am 6"4 and will ride half at dirt jumps and other half at skateparks.
The geo for the frame is
Trailking frame, 11.5" - red*
Size: 11.5"
Top tube: 23.5"
Chainstay: 14.5-15.5"
Head angle: 69 deg
Seat angle: 70 deg
Headset: 1-1/8" Integrated
Bottom bracket: 68mm
Seatpost: 26.6mm
Front derail: 28.6mm
Color: red
Thanks for the help!

I'm 6'1" and ride a dartmoor two6player, I use an NS chemical stem(40mm reach) and ns mint bars @3" rise, with 20mm of spacer under the stem. I had a 30mm reach stem and 10mm of spacer under the stem before I installed my new circus fork. The extra reach and taller setup is nice. Diety has a 48mm reach fantom stem or even the ns chem stem I have at 40mm. I would use either the ns proof bars(3" rise) or the NS district bars (4"rise). Those bar and stem combos are 25.4 clamp, there are also 31.8 clamp options all over since that seems to be the new standard

If I recall correctly, the Atomlab Trailking had a higher bottom bracket than other frames. That, combined with your height, means you will definitely want taller handlebars.

The TrailKing was designed with their Atomlab 3" rise GI bars in mind. Like in this:

So, I would say minimum 3" rise. Possibly taller. There are very few mtb one-piece bars taller than 3". The NS District, as mentioned, is one.

I ride these Atomlab Pimplite 3" rise bars.

But, if you go with bmx cruiser bars or Fixed Gear Freestyle (FGFS) bars, you can get 2-piece and 4-piece from like 3.5" to 5.75" rise. If you get bmx cruiser bars, you need a bmx stem with a 22.2mm clamp area, rather than 25.4 or 31.8 like mtb bars. The only exception is that STOUT makes some with a 25.4 clamp area.

These are the NS District 4" rise from 2011. https://www.pinkbike.com/forum/listcomments/?threadid=120092&pagenum=1#commentid3744319 Not even sure they still make the 4".

Hey man thanks for the help I also saw the black market edit 1 which seems like would be even better for me because it has 23, 23.5, and 24" top tube. Which frame do you think would be better and what headtube size would be better from the options given. Also do you use a mod or euro bb? Thanks for the help I'm not used to this geometry coming from enduro Mtb!

The Edit1 does have more options on length. I know there's a current trend with Enduro bikes of having longer top tubes and shorter stems. Honestly, I feel like this is because XC riders used to ride bikes with super-long stems (120mm-ish etc.) and "Enduro" is supposed to appeal to XC/All Mountain riders by saying the bike can both climb and descend. People like a longer "reach" for climbing. DH bikes used to have a relatively short reach (with a short stem).

Anyway, getting back to DJ bikes . . . I really haven't seen too many guys going for for frames longer than 23". I'm sure you could, and it'd be fine. But, like, I'm 6'1" and ride a 22.5" Black Market Mob DJ, and a friend of mine who is 6'4" has the Transition Trail or Park 23"tt. The Transition felt very comfortable & roomy at 23". You could go with 23.5", but I really can't see any reason to go with 24" on a DJ bike. Although, keep in mind, we're talking about "actual" top tube length, not "Effective" which is what some MTB companies measure in.

If you're interested in a full-suspension dirt jumper or "Slopestyle" bike . . . I've got a Black Market Killswitch that is 23" top tube, and it actually fits even a little bigger than that.
https://www.pinkbike.com/u/cmc4130/album/Killswitch/ If you've got $700 to spend on a frame & rear shock (originally $1500) lemme know. I've been trying to sell it to get more of an XC/AM bike.

As I've posted before . . . . here is my Black Market Killswitch 23" top tube with the bottom bracket lined up with the Black Market Mob 22.5"tt. As you can see, the front end "reach" is much longer than half an inch difference. This is due to the different seat tube angle on the Killswitch.

I agree with cmc, 23" is probably as long as I would go on a jump bike. My dartmoor is the long version and the TT is 22.5". 23" would probably be a good choice.

Anybody knows of a good looking 31.8mm stem 40-50mm length with some rise?
