i wanted to check and claim for my broken chainstay. refers to the model, spark 930, its a mixture of carbon frames and aluminium chainstay. hence i want to claim the aluminium chainstay as i understand, 3 years + 2 years for carbon frames and 5 years for aluminium parts.
but turn out Scott reverted that my combination carbon frame and aluminium triangle consider full set of carbon frame and i dont entitle for warranty as mine already due 3 years. does this acceptable?
Sounds like a bad deal... but they have a lot of caveats on the "voluntary Warranty" page.
What country are dealing with this in?
Its possible that they just dont have the parts to send you ( i have experienced this before) and because of that they just revoke the 'voluntary' warranty.
Ask for a crash replacement deal to purchase a new part / frame/ bike, and see where that gets you.
