Can I use a DJ bike to get into Slopestyle.

Hi all, want to get into Slopestyle/ DJ and was wondering if a good first bike would be the Canyon Stitched 180. So could I practice dirt tricks are the bmx track or skatepark first of all to get some tricks down then go to the dirt jumps near my house ( they are very big).
