hello, new to the forum, just purchased a 2007 specialized p1 frame, im wondering which bottom bracket i need to get as t had an external truvativ howitzer xr, im wondering if a non external euro 19mm one for bmx cranks will fit, such as: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GUSSET-Sealed-Euro-BMX-MTB-Bottom-Bracket-19mm-/112436203755?hash=item1a2db850eb:g:ZbYAAOSwwTlUp~sA , any help is appreciated thank you
google says it uses an euro 73mm one, my advice is not to get internal euro bb, externals are superior in every way, there is an article here on pinkbike on how to install bmx cranks on an external euro, you need to check your spindle diameter and width, and use spacers accordingly
Hey with that said I measured the BB and do you take into consideration that there is an integrated chain guide because yes it does measure to 73mm. I bought a profile external BB, 25th spline drive sprocket and crankset without no boss to go along with it. I'm rebuilding my 2008 p1 I'll post pics soon as she's dressed up

I'm not sure what you mean by the integrated chain guide . . . but, basically no, you're measuring just the frame's bottom bracket shell width. It influences what tube spacer you use inside of the shell. 68mm shells use a 48mm tube spacer and 73mm shells use a 53mm tube spacer (at least with the setups I have done in the past).
