I have recently purchased a new medium Santa Cruz 5010, I'm in love with it! I have read some things online about a fork mod that can change the internals of the current Pike 130 fork to a 140, and was wondering if it works well and where to get it?

You just need a new air shaft for it. It's a rock shox original part.

Its super easy to do. Find the part number form Rockshox spare parts catalogue and do a google search. I bought mine from Worldwidecyclery I think for maybe 30-40$ and changed it out in under an hour. And I had never taken apart a fork before, so if I can do it you can do it.
