Hasn’t the Sentinel already got udh (I’ve got an alloy one that says udh on it I think - but was a bit confused that Transition may also have their own udh)?

I don’t see how the geometry can be improved on this type of bike - 63.7 degree head angle is already pretty slack for a 160f/150r bike.

Maybe the option of a mullet link would be nice and perhaps being slightly more progressive so it’s better for a coil shock. But it gets closer and closer to the Patrol then.

If anything they could shorten the travel / try to make it a little lighter so it sits more halfway between the Spur and patrol / spire. Where ideally a smuggler would sit.

Yeah if I’m honest I feel there’s almost too much overlap between the Sentinel, Spire and Patrol now that I’m not sure what I’d want next. That new Reign is almost all those three bikes in one.

Any rumors of a v3 sentinel?

what could be improved? UDH? In frame storage? Geo is on point if not already a bit "risky"?!

Yeah in frame storage, designed around a 170mm fork, remove the swimming pool under the bottom rear shock mount, a design that accommodates experimenting with a mullet setup. But maybe I’m just describing a new Spire though ha. Minus the pressfit bb, that new Giant Reign looks like good inspiration for a new Sentinel.

I don't think it would make sense to design it around a 170mm fork since the spire exists, plus a lot of people already run a 170mm fork on it.
I have not heard any 'real' rumors but I would expect minor changes such as a UDH on the carbon one (the alloy one already has it) maybe a flip chip. I could see a slightly steeper STA to meet most current trends but is probably unnecessary.

New carbon paint colours (the same green and grey they were doing the alloy frames in). Probably all we're gonna see announced for the Sentinel this year.

Oh and AXS build kits.

I like how Transition does a spicy color and a gray scale color for all their bikes. Would hate to choose between 2 horrible colors Confused The new Sentinel colors are legit!

I dont really understand why they’d offer two greys that are almost identical though?

The old grey is discontinued.

Ah, fair enough. Much better than the ‘primer grey’ on the Spire.

This has me worried as I’m waiting for a warranty front triangle, I’ll not be happy if it’s a different colour to the rear.

Transition keeps stock of old frames for warranty. I had my blue/black Smugger frame replaced with the same color one 2 years ago even though that color was the older version.

The XT build can still be had in TI Grey and Loam Gold. I assume those are leftover stock and once those run out the XT build will move to the new colors.

I’m waiting on one, too. Curious what your issue is. One of the tabs holding the brake line ripped out. Otherwise, the bike has been amazing

Same thing happened to me. Warranty took care of me quickly and replaced (and did the work!) free of charge. Benefits of living fifteen minutes from the outpost.
