I remember seeing this Cascade link a while ago but was it way too much money for uncertainty. Do you think it will fit with my Rockshox superdeluxe coil? My reign is the neaon red one a few picutres above. Cheers!

^ Rob, best bet is to tear it down and see what bearings are where first. I can report on the 4 in the rocker link and pair on the lower shock (frame mounted) bearings later.
Also, folks, Cascade Components is doing a clearance sale (50% off!) for the Giant Reign aftermarket rocker link. Once they’re all sold, that’s the end of them, so get your hands on ‘em while you can.
I'm running a Super Deluxe Ult. Coil with Sprindex spring, which fits well. I've also used a DPX2 with no issues. It's the RS air shocks that have issues, as the rebound adjuster on Super Deluxe Air and trunnion-supporting volume on the Deluxe Air shocks that just barely interfere with the cross brace. It's possible to file away ~0.5mm of the middle to create clearance, but I'd understand someone hesitating to do so. The rocker link is beefy and that material removal would be negligible for the structural integrity of the part.
As you can see i have pretty much upgraded everything on the bike but i am at the point that i want to go through the frame bearings and fittings and check them i.e. take apart, check and reinstall if ok. I cannot find a bearings spec list or a diagram of how the fittings go back together so i dont make a mess of something. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks - Rob, UK
Rob, the rocker link has 4x 6900 LLU bearings and the lower shock mount has 4x 6802 LLU bearings (2x in Maestro link and 2x in frame). There are at least 2 more pairs of bearings located in the rear triangle that I don't have immediately available
Awesome! I think this is the missing link that will make the beast feel even better. Ordering her right now, only going to be 7 left in stock now, thanks for the heads up Donut! Cannot wait to shred this thing, and a solid piece of aluminum is just too sick.

I just installed the Cascade link onto my Reign yesterday, and I can confirm that it is a pretty drastic change for the better as others have said. I honestly have never noticed many harsh bottom outs on the Reign, but there have been many times where I was sort of halfway into the suspension travel, and the bike would sort of hang up and feel harsh over bumps instead of compressing more. In some cases if the fork and shock reacted differently in these situations, it felt like I might get bucked, as the fork would compress and the shock wouldn't.
Well, with the Cascade link, that flat part of the leverage curve is gone, and the bike will continue to compress, rather than get hung up on the pedal-platform. The result is that the steering is much more relaxed going through braking bumps and similar sized obstacles, with less of an overloaded front end.
Additionally, the link restored a kind of stock-ish geometry for me, as it lowers the BB a tad. I had added a 29er front wheel and 170mm Fox 38 I got from the buy/sell here. Overall, I'd say there's really no downside to the mullet setup on this bike, especially with the cascade link lowering things back down a bit. Might just have to lower your bars, and or move your seat forward a bit to compensate.
The pro's closet has a screaming deal right now on Ibis S35 wheelsets. $219 with microspline driver in 27.5. I've heard they don't have the greatest rear hub durability, but they do come with a two year warranty there, and I believe 7 years for the rims. I bought a set just for the rear wheel, and there is some good increased stiffness compared to the Giant AM wheels which were a tad narrow, and flexy for me.
Anyone have a Giant Reign 2018 size medium with a OneUp V2 180, or a PNW Loam 150 or 170? Can you slam these fully in, can you let me know how much is sticking out, do you have a photo?
Thanks so much!
I am trying to figure out the perfect fitting dropper for my 2018 Giant Reign, Medium, Carbon.
I need 207mm from bottom of the collar to seat rail, and when measured the max insertion on the frame is 230. Surprisingly though I ordered a OneUp V2 150 and it fully slams even though it says max insertion is 137. Now before ordering a whole bunch of options in Italy I am hoping someone can help!
Added the Cascade link to the Reign. Have gone on a ride riding super chunky terrain, and it was fantastic. A lot plusher and charges through stuff with ease, jumping felt just as good, pop and flow through jumps felt amazing. The only downside is how much more of a pig this has become, I didn't think that it would become even more of a hog going uphill, but the legs will just be that much more pure. Would recommend for the Reign.
