Rear shock advice please

Hi everyone. Just looking for a bit of advice. The bolt at the top of my rear shock came loose, I tightened it but noticed a gap between the plastic spacer and the shock. Just wondering if that's normal?

The end of the plastic spacer actually hits the bushing inside of the shock mount hole, it doesn't contact the actual shock mount.

Noticed the same with my 17 Carbon Troy. It was no problem, however I eventually wore the bush out. Replaced it with a RWC roller bearing kit and the spacers have a trick seal.......feels real smooth
