it's really a surprise they added a 10mm to the reach across all sizes.. the 2018 4.2 small has 413mm and the 2017 4.2 has 403mm... other than that, it's still the same...

I'll take that 10mm. I wish it was a little more since you can always run a shorter stem.. Look's pretty solid to me otherwise.

Any opinions on the 2018 HT AM? I’m kinda skeptical about the plus tires and 65 degree head angle? How would the 65 head angle behave on flatter/climbing sections of trail?

I'm planning on buying this for myself this Christmas as a present to myself. I chose the Commencal other others including the On One Dee Dar and the Sonder Transmitter..

I chose Commencal because they are based out of the USA (CA) unlike On One and Sonder. I was going to buy a Commencal last year but decided ti wait because they still used QR axle (the bain of my existance). They changed that in 2018 model (score!!)

The Sonder was a close second but only had a 120mm fork. The Dee Dar is still a great choice and is even on sale now with the 150 mil Revalation.

Keep me updated if you do get a 2018 HT AM. I’m skeptical about how it will perform on flats and climbs.
