So I've seen a transition patrol 2017 for sale, right price right location, sounds perfect really, only thing is it's a medium, and I'm 6' (almost). Will that be too small for me, or with an appropriate stem and seat post size would I be ok? Maybe I'm being optimistic.

ya the medium will not fit you the best, you really would need a large to fit correctly on the bike
