2017 meta v3 difference from 2017 sx

So I recently bought a meta am v3 over the sx due to the longer reach on the am over the sx, and am wondering if anyone knows where the extra 10mm travel comes from on the sx over the am? They're both running the same shock size, and are pretty similar geo aside from tt and reach and half a degree of head angle. Rear triangles look identical

I chose the v3 over the sx as well. I think they are pretty similar bikes.
