Sorry if this has been brought up before...

I'm looking to build up a new wheel set for my Riot build and wondering what internal width I should be looking for. I'm going to be running 2.5 DHF/2.4 DHR Wide tires. I kind of sounds like 30mm is the sweet spot, but would there be advantages/disadvantages of going 35?

It depends on how you ride. If you corner aggressively and owning a Riot should mean so Smile 30mm will give you a more rounder tire, so you'll have to lean more to bite the side knob in, but you should have better rolling resistance. 35mm you'll need to lean a little less.

I have both. I find the 30mm rims give an almost perfect profile to most tyres in the 2.35 - 2.5 range, while the 35mm rims work best with the newer high volume 2.6 - 2.8, which is why I bought them in the first place to go bigger on the hardtail.
