Trek remedy 19.5 to big?

I am buying a bike that me and my girl can ride. I am 5'10 and she is 5'8, but we are pretty similar in body style. There is a 2017 remedy 19.5 that a local shop has. Do you think the 19.5 will be to big for her?

With the dropper post, you won't be able to get it down in the frame far enough for her to ride it in it's "up most" position. I'm the same height as her and almost have my seat post as far down as it will go in the 17.5" size.
