Hi! Thanks for the response. You mean the "old" linkage or the "old" dhx2 shock (2020 or prior, kashima coated)??

Old dhx2 (not the 2021) with new linkage (2020 frame) in the "lower" position. Anyway even if I use full travel quite easily, I never actually feel very hard bottom outs on the trail.
For the settings I have been using something like 9-10 clicks from fully closed for the high speeds (bump and rebound) and 12 for the low speeds

Thanks!

Last question... How much sag gives you the 500lb spring with 1-2 turns of preload??

Considering that I measure sag being seated with low saddle for consistency, I get 15 mm of sag at the shock (25%). I don't know the exact turns of preload, just enough to prevent the spring from moving.

I've been running one since 2018. Even with the new linkage, it works well and climbs like a champ.

Thinking of getting a 2019 Rallon,I'm 6" tall and usually ride a large frame would I need an XL,as it seems the rallon comes up a little small.I like a roomy cockpit.TIA.

Definitely go with xl. L will be too short for you.

About 160/160 combo - I'm riding it and it works nice. Probably will change it to 170/160 someday just to try it.

I’m quite happy with the 179/160 set up I just have a much better 160 fork in the shed that’s tempting me to try 160/160
