Bmx freecoaster popping noise

So i got a new shadow raptor freecoaster and whenever i start to pedal and stop again it makes a noise but its louder if i pedal with more force. Not sure if this is normal with new freecoasters or if something is damaged but i dont want to damaged anything by riding it now

sounds like the clutch may be slipping? i know it is daunting, especially with free coaster, but it may just need to be taken apart, regreased, and put back together. alfred mancuso on youtube has a great video on freecoaster maintenance
