What are the easiest forks and shocks to regularly self service?

Are there certain forks and shocks which can be completely serviced by the user, or do most of them have to be sent to a service centre for a complete service?

I know from experience that Fox and Rockshox air shocks and forks are very easy to do a basic / lowers service on. I'd imagine most companies are very similar. There's plenty of videos on YouTube. I don't have any experience of other companies or coils.

Manitou Mattoc would be up there as being one if the easiest of the current crop of forks (no bladder to bleed) with easy to follow video instructions on Manitou's website and only really requires their tool kit to service, which is pretty easy to source.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I'm riding a Mattoc Comp atm, and preparing to upgrade.

The Mattoc Comp is a pretty crap fork, so when I invest in an upgrade I want to be able to keep it performing 100% all the time without having to send it off for full servicing.

I'll look into a Mattoc Pro.
