I notice a lot of pros are now running 2.5 to 2.6! How much more grip/control and plush feel will i get by going from a 2.3(magic mary) to a 2.6 (specialized butcher)? is it noticeable?

Not so sure you'll notice much difference coming from an already fat tire like the Magic Mary. I just went from 2.4 HR IIs f/r to 2.6 Butcher Grid/Slaughter Grid f/r and felt maybe a 5-10% increase in grip, and zero difference in plush feel.

Granted, my rims are only 27mm internal so that could account for the minimal difference.

I went from a 2.35 nic on a 23mm rim to a 2.6 nic on a 30mm rim and thought it a meaningful improvement in grip and float without much downside so far. About like going from a 2.1 to a 2.35. The 2.35 Mary is a really burly "2.35" though so you might not be far off as is.

I test rode a Mach 5.5 that is spec’d with 2.6 front and rear and loved it. Tons of traction with out the downsides of going to plus. Corner unreal and climbed anything.

Honestly didn’t notice much of weight difference or penalty from 2.4... only noticed upsides.
