Using mismatched tires on single speed???

Just put a larger 32c Alex rim quick release on my front and because I am financially strapped had to use the tube and tire of my old front tire 700 23/28c and put on my rear tire.. question is will this work fairly well temporarily (1-2 weeks or longer if there's no real danger in this..)??? I am fairly new to the bike repair world..I ride a 53 cm SE single Speed with only rear brakes

As long as it's not rubbing on your frame it really doesn't matter. Mis matched tire widths will not affect the bike much at all. You're commuting, not trying to shave a few seconds of your lap time. If it fits in your bike and it doesn't bother you then just keep pedalling.
