Hi. Just curious what size Remedy everyone is riding. I'm just a fraction over 6 ft tall by the way. Reason I ask is I have just bought a 2018 Remedy 8, in a 19.5. I demoed a 21.5 before I purchased and fell in love with it. Unfortunately there weren't any 19.5 to demo, but the guys at the bike shop suggested I'd be best on the 19.5. I'm pretty happy with the bike, but it does feel a little smaller than the 2016 Reign L that I had previously. Maybe I just need more time in the saddle to get used to it. Feel free to chime in!
I'm about four months into my 18 Remedy 8. Sizing is not an issue for though, I am medium on pretty much any bike. It took me a few rides to get dialed in with the ride. I was getting pedal strikes a bit at first. Overall I love the bike and can't wait for spring.
I did a 4 hour back country ride on it yesterday with a good mixture of climbing, descents, and some nice rocky and rooty goodness too. And have to say I loved it! I did have a few pedal strikes, but apart from that it climbs really well and it's nicely composed on the downhill without feeling like too much bike on the flatter stuff.
I'm a pre modern Medium, but due to only buying on clearance have only ridden (modern) Smalls. Very nimble (? a bit twitchy? but I have never ridden the 18.8 or 19.5 so what do I know) but I don't go very fast. I'm 176cm and riding 17.5 Remedy RSL 2017. No complaints!
Got my first ride on my 19.5 2018 remedy 8, I'm 5'11 feels perfect. Had a giant reign in medium before, was definitely wrong size. I feel like if you in between go bigger
Just had my first proper ride out on my new remedy 8. I’m 6ft 4 and opted for the XL, more from a longer top tube perspective as found the L cramped. Felt spot on both climbing and descending but still plenty of fun on the jumps and drops. I’ve swapped from a large Whyte G160 whichwas amazing fun playing on the downhills and jumps but was starting to notice on longer rides I was lacking leg extension and getting tight hips and back. The remedy instantly felt so much better but was just as much fun and a whole lot plusher. I was initially worried about a bigger frame being less chuckable but made up with the choice.
