SB95 Suspension Upgrade- worth it?

Hey All, My wife is considering upgrading the Fox CTD suspension on her sb95 and increasing the travel to 150 up front with a Fox 36 and going to 135 or so on the rear shock. Current set up is a Fox 34 shock set to 140 and the rear shock at 127mm.

Anyone out there done this-is it worth it? Cost-wise it'd be around $1k or so. The bike is 6 years old and has been ridden hard and put away wet.

Any thoughts on how this will effect the geometry and overall riding characteristics of this bike?
