Youth Downhill Bike

I need some help. My little grom needs a new downhill bike. He can ride.He has been on a little shredder Phenom 24" bike. He has outgrown the bike. There are very few 26" wheeled bikes out there. I am afraid to jump him up to a XS 27.5 wheeled bike. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
