Curious about info on this old but good Scott bike.

Hello. I,m curious about info on this bike. Model, year [at least aproximate]. Seems to me like a bike from the late 90,s or early 2000,s. I,m not selling, just curious. Why put disc a brake only in the front wheel? Is geometry too old or can this bike perform well on single tracks? Any bit of info will be appreciated, no matter what. I,m not worried about 26 tires,they are very good for kids.provided sizing is correct too. Thank you all.
Scott 26er.curious about year model and fair price of this bike.

Frame prob does not have the mounts for rear disk brake and fork replaced at some point to one that does. You will be stuck with this combo if so.
