I’m thinking of 1x10 11-42t 42t ring would this be good for comutter hybrid frame, runing 27.5 wheels. I really would like suggesting on what ring to run on the crank.

That's a little bit like asking which flavor of ice cream works best. FWIW, I run a 38t on one of my "commuter" bikes, and a 42t on the other. Both bikes have e*thirteen TRS+ cassettes. Both give me WAAAAAAY more bottom end than I need on pavement, but I also ride single track with these bikes. They spin out on pavement at about 35-40mph, but that's about as fast as I really wanna go on a bike.
