I'll be driving from the Island to Canmore and back in early may- likely the 1st or 2nd week. Hoping to do the trip in 4 days- 3 nights. Ideally, I'd like to plan a 3-4 hour ride each day in the morning or afternoon before driving. Does anyone have any recommendations of where I can ride without snow? I'm an intermediate level rider, best suited to blue trails if it's unfamiliar territory. Is this season realistic? I don't mind rain or wet conditions, but would rather not be trail blazing in fresh snow.

My ideal itinerary would be island to kamloops (1st night) Kamloops to canmore (2nd night) Canmore to ?? Vernon/Kelowna? (3rd night) ---> home. For this trip, I'll likely avoid the vancouver/squamish area as I do get a chance to ride there more often.
