Hi. Is there someone willing to measure green steel spring for FOX 40 ( 2012 + ) for outer and inner diameter, lenght and weight ?
I'm trying to find out if this spring will fit my Marzocchi 380 C2R2 Ti 2017 fork. And yes, I tried to google it and so on, but few random post "yes, it will fit" aren't enough for me. Also there is some difference between 2011 - and 2012 + spring models...
Here in my area fox springs are roughly half the price of marzocchi, so its worth trying.
FYI: Marzocchi 888 2008 spring DOESN'T fit Marzocchi 380 2017

That would be great, thank you very much
480mm long x 30mm diameter
Great, thank you very much. The lenght is OK. But 30 mm is outer diameter ? I would need to know the inner diameter of the spring. Could you please measure this one also ?

20mm inner/30mm outer
OK. Then this spring wouldn't fit. It should be minimum 22 mm inner diameter. But thanks a lot for your time and effort !
I know this is an old thread but it came up in Google search for "will a Fox 40 spring fit Marzocchi 380 "
The answer is yes.
I've just fitted a blue Fox spring in my 380, and whilst it's true that the ID is 2mm narrower it's easily worked around.
The only part that goes into the spring is the end cap on the pre load plunger. This is easily removed from the preload rod by twisting.
The spring will now fit into the 380, however, the rod will rattle inside. You could either shave down the end cap or do what I did which was drill a hole into a synthetic wine cork. It fits perfectly inside the Fox steel spring and stops it rattling, whilst still allowing preload to be added.
