Today I demoed a ripley with 2.6” w tires. The tires felt amazing, I think they were Noby Nics.

I want to try something similar on my 2018 Tallboy. Any recommendations? How wide can I go / should I go?

I have those Nobby Nic’s on my Flow’s. They are great on hard pack trails not so great in the mud. Sometimes it feels like I dropped an anchor when going through thick stuff. I have the new Hans Damf 29x2.6” with the new tread design. Going to mount it this week and try that one out.

NNs I can confirm feel like an anchor especially on rear through the gloopy mud stuff.

NN on front just washes out.
They are also a weak sidewall type tyre and can be evident visually to sweat tubeless sealant which is odd.
