I recently installed a 210x55 Float X2 on my 2019 29er Stumpjumper without issue. It has the same eye-to-eye as stock so it doesn't screw with your geo and it gives the rear 153mm of travel by my measurement. When bottomed out the tire and linkage all clear the seat tube without a problem even in the slack setting (I'm running 29x2.6 Speci Eliminator tires) . and the bottle still fits. The shock is "custom" for the Ibis Ripmo but I love the way it feels on the Stumpy. Only trick is, you have to take air out of the shock so it compresses before you install it otherwise the air can will hit the frame and you won't be able to get it in. Just take the air out, install it and air it back up on the bike.

Anyone tried this on a 27.5? Would it change the travel or make anything else change?

FYI, for this year (2020) Fox actually made 210x50 and 210x55 sizes for the X2. So you could opted for the one with the correct travel or add a bit of travel at the rear.

Removed the travel spacer from the standard dpx2 on my stumpy Evo the other day, haven't had any issues so far thankfully!

the 27.5 stumpy comes with a 52.5mm stroke according to the website. but they don't make a float x2 that would fit that. hence why we are talking about over or under stroking. the 29er has the 50mm stroke...

I'm speaking for the 29er only since there are already people that tried the 52.5mm and 55mm stroke shocks on the 29er without any interference problem.

It's a matter of time before someone tried it on the 27.5 stumpy or will you be the first? Smile

I have a new stumpy with a float x2 as well. 27.5 regular travel, over stroked to 210x55. no issues, my bike is a carbon size large. However, I'm having a hard time with shock setup. I know this bike has a comparatively pretty high overall leverage ratio, requiring high spring rates to get correct sag. can anybody provide their experience with shock setup for those with Float X2's? Just to compare my experience. I for some reason can't stay off the bottom, im 200lbs with 240ish PSI in the shock, max volume spacers, and compression all the way open, and bottoming on trails that shouldn't cause bottom out, yet the shock still feels harsh. i think i may be looking for a certain feel out of this bike that it's just not designed to give

Can anyone give me an eye to eye measurement for the yoke itself? 29er LT & ST would be great. Post up the 27.5 ones if you have it for anyone that may want that.

Thanks
