I've been searching for a wide shoe suitable for use with flat pedals. I've got a wide foot to begin with (2E-4E), plus I've had some injuries which required surgery leading to my left foot being wider than my right. I also use an orthotic. I've tried on a few different pairs of shoes, Specialized 2FO and Five Ten Freerider, but neither fit well. I'm currently using a wide Han Wag hiking shoe, but it doesn't grip the pedals very well. Has anyone come across a shoe that is available in a wide width and suitable for flat pedals?

Try Fiveten impact VXI's ... I had some and found them wide, then went to Freeriders and found them fine.

On CRC you'll see user reviews mentioning the VXI's are wider than normal shoes, hopefully theres a store near you that you can try them on
