Bunny hopping this beast is a lot harder than my previous AM bike. Think its just my poor technique or is this a difficult bike to get in the air off of a flat surface? I usually hop over speed bumps, rocks etc where I can but this thing feels like its dragging a cannon ball. I know the stays are longish and the BB quite low (glad of the downhill stability) but I hoped it would be more "playful"......

I've added a 10mm longer stem and a 40mm rise bar but so far, not having much luck. Appreciate any thoughts!

I was considering a 26" back wheel for a more playful feel. After riding it today I'm going to stick with 27.5. I ride a large 2021 and the reach is very long, 490mm i think. A shorter stem might help rather than a longer one. I have a 35mm stem to get it as shirt as I could.

O+

The bike is long and heavy... a shorter stem and some spacers under the bars might help a little bit...

Got a few bars and stems lying around so will do some testing and see what works. I bought the medium as the 490 reach was too much for me.

I’m 5’9” on a small 2022 clash and I’m loving the way it fits and rides.

I'm glad you are enjoying the bike. Probably just need to swap and few things out and change my riding style a bit..

It's very odd that I'm riding a small size frame, but these bikes are pretty big. I compared the geo to my medium 2020 Capra 27.5 and the numbers are almost identical, with the small clash being slightly larger in some areas lol.

Bikes are too big now. The masses want stability to be safe from crashes rather than fun playful bikes. I went for the large rather than xl and its still bigger than my old downhill bike.

I think my second hand 2020 clash has a small crack on the top tube similar to others itt

Anyone know if commencal will do some drive deal for second owners on new frames?

I’ve heard of them giving crash replacement pricing to a second owner but it’s really going to be a case by case basis. Best bet is to contact Commencal and find out. Keep us posted with what they say as I’m curious if they will or not.

Commencal barely wanted to warranty my cracked frame as an original owner. Love the bikes but they’re honestly just the worst company to deal with, at least out of Squamish..

Emailed them and they offered crash replacement which is a reasonable discount. Going to sand the paint off where the crack is and confirm the issue and go from there, but good to know it's available
